Love in the time of meaninglessness

She: Why is it that we keep jumping from one thing to another?

Me: Because we are never satisfied with what we have

She: Why is it that we are never satisfied with what we have?

Me: Because we never look for what we really want

She: Why don’t we look out for what we really want?

Me: Because we don’t have the time

She: Really?

Me: No. Because we really don’t know what we want

She: Why is it that we really don’t know what we want?

Me: Because we really don’t know who we are

She: If we don’t know who we are and what we want, what the heck are we doing here, in this planet?

Me: Having coffee. Want some more?

  1. You should get this published somewhere. Perfect example of a short, powerful, amazing piece of writing.
