the unseen you

enter solitude

shed those clothes,

footwear and ego

loosen up the hair

let the mirror doubt your intentions

wash that make up – outside and within

rinse away the lipstick

and let those pale lips breathe

ignore the stubble

and let the chest hair be

don’t bother to call up your wife

or girlfriend

this is more private and sacred

no point in analyzing the ‘could haves’ and ‘should haves’

we are all misinformed microbes

trying to please ourselves

in a pointless, dog-eat-dog, ever expanding, black universe

and while you are trying to rationalize these thoughts and actions

remove every inch of external matter from your body

you’ll be surprised to think about the

unnecessary weight you carry. everyday.

and stand in front of that mirror

completely naked

and see your unseen self

this is what you are

this is your unseen self

a shapeless piece of mass

in its perfect glory.
